The League Rock (from English league , travel hour, travel hour ' ) is a strikingly rounded rock island off the southern end of the Adelaide Island west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located southwest of Box Reef .
The hydrographic unit of the Royal Navy mapped it between 1962 and 1963. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1964 because it is located one hour away from what was then Base T (now the Chilean station Luis Carvajal Villarroel ).
