Lebrecht Heinrich Samuel Jehne

Lebrecht Heinrich Samuel Jehne (born October 8, 1747 in Altona , † March 18, 1794 in Nienstedten ) was a German Lutheran theologian and educator.

Life

Jehne studied at the universities of Wittenberg and Halle from 1766 . In 1771 he became sub-rector of the grammar school in Altona ( Christianeum ), in 1776 vice rector of the same with the title of grammar school professor and took over the rector's office in the same year. In 1789 he became second professor and in 1790 pastor in Nienstedten. Especially his books on language theory made an impression.
