The Ledda Bay is a shallow and 19 km wide bay on the north side of Grant Iceland before the Hobbs Coast of the West Antarctic Marie Byrd lands .
The bay was discovered and first mapped on February 4, 1962 by the crew of the icebreaker USS Glacier . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1966 after Raymond J. Ledda Jr. (1930-2002), who had been a quartermaster of the crew of the USS Glacier .
