Lee Naylor (athlete)
Lee Michelle Naylor (born January 26, 1971 in Shepparton ) is a former Australian athlete who specialized in the 400-meter run and was internationally successful, especially as a relay runner.
At the World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 1995 , she won the bronze medal behind the teams of the United States and Russia in the 4 x 400 meter relay together with Renée Poetschka , Melinda Gainsford-Taylor and Cathy Freeman . In addition, she succeeded in the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, together with Susan Andrews , Tamsyn Lewis and Tania van Heer, winning the season title. At the 1999 World Athletics Championships in Seville, she came in sixth with the relay.
In addition, Naylor took part in the Olympic Games twice. In 1996 in Atlanta and 2000 in Sydney , she reached the quarter-finals in the 400-meter run. With the relay it failed in the preliminary round in 1996, in 2000 it was not used.
Lee Naylor is 1.66 m tall and had a competition weight of 58 kg. She received her PhD in neurochemistry from the University of Melbourne .
