Lee "Leo" Zahner (born March 13, 1974 in Brisbane ) is a former Australian beach volleyball player .

Career

Zahner has played with his long-time partner Julien Prosser since 1995 . In the 1996 Olympic tournament Prosser / Zahner finished ninth. They took the same rank the following year at the World Championships in Los Angeles . The 1999 World Cup in Marseille went even better , where the two Australians just barely missed the semi-finals. In 2000 they were ninth in the Olympics at the Games in Sydney in front of their own audience, as they were defeated in the second round to the Swiss brothers Martin and Paul Laciga . At the 2001 World Cup they won their preliminary group and defeated the German duo Ahmann / Hager in the first main round before they had to admit defeat to the Brazilians Emanuel / Tande in the round of 16 . At the end of 2002, Zahner ended his beach volleyball career.
