Alexandre Ramos Samuel , called Tande (born March 20, 1970 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a former Brazilian volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career hall

At the age of twelve, Tande began playing volleyball at a school in Botafogo . Since 1988 he played in the Brazilian national team , with which he won the gold medal at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona . In 1993 he won the world league . At the following Olympic Games he reached fifth place with the national team in Atlanta in 1996 and sixth in Sydney in 2000 .

Career Beach

At the side of his national team colleague Giovane , Tande started his beach career in 1997. In 1999 he was elected "King of the Beach". Tande started at four beach volleyball world championships , his best placement was a fifth place in 2001 in Klagenfurt . At the side of Emanuel , 2001 was Tande's most successful year on the beach. Emanuel / Tande achieved six wins on the FIVB World Tour . After a less than successful year 2003 at the side of Pará and Cunha , Tande achieved consistently top ten placements with Franco in 2004 and 2005 . Tande had his last FIVB tournament in 2006 together with Benjamin in Vitória .

Private

Tande is married to the Brazilian actress Lizandra Souto. The two have two children.
