Benjamin Insfran (born April 14, 1972 in Porto Murtinho , Mato Grosso do Sul ) is a Brazilian beach volleyball player .
Career
In his first three tournaments on the FIVB World Tour , Benjamin Insfran finished 33rd each time, in 1997 with Toninho in Fortaleza and in 1998 with Alemão "Guerra in Rio de Janeiro and Vitória . Things went better from 1999 with their new partner Márcio Araújo , the two of them won equal their first FIVB C & S tournament in Cagliari . this title followed until 2004, seven successes in FIVB tournaments and winning the bronze medal at the 2003 world Championships in their home country in Rio de Janeiro. at the 2004 Olympics in Athens reached the two Brazilians made it to the round of 16, but lost to Paul and Martin Laciga from Switzerland.
From 2005 to 2006 Benjamin played with Harley Marques . Their best result was winning the gold medal at the FIVB tournament in Montreal in 2005, and the two South Americans also achieved silver in Gstaad and Stavanger and bronze in Athens and Acapulco in the same year. In 2006 Benjamin and Harley weren't quite as successful anymore, only two third places in Roseto degli Abruzzi and Stavanger were recorded.
In the following years Insfran changed his partners more often, best placements were the first place at the Challenger & Satellite tournament in Cyprus 2007 with Bruno de Paula, as well as the third place at the World Tour in Mallorca with Franco Neto 2008. In the same year Benjamin won his former partner Harley competed in Sanya , in 2009 Benjamin Insfran and Pedro Salgado took first place in Stare Jabłonki .
2010
At the first tour event in the capital of their home country , Benjamin Insfran and his new partner Bruno Oscar Schmidt reached the semi-finals, which they lost to the Olympic champions Phil Dalhausser and Todd Rogers . In the game for third place, the two Brazilians secured the bronze medal against their compatriots Cunha and Tiago. In China Benjamin and Bruno took fifth place, and they finished ninth each at the following tournaments in Rome, Myslowice and Moscow. In Prague the two South Americans failed to Alison and Emanuel and took fifth place in the final ranking. After 17th places in Stavanger, Klagenfurt and Myslowice, one elimination in the country quota in Switzerland and two further fifth places in Marseille and Kristiansand and a seventh place in Åland , Benjamin and Bruno achieved their best result at the last tournament of the year. In The Hague they were able to defeat the Dutch Boersma and Spijkers in the semifinals, and they lost the final to the Americans Jennings and Wong .
2011
Benjamin and Bruno took seventh place in Brasilia . The Brazilians finished ninth at the tournaments in Beijing and Gstaad as well as at the World Championships in Rome . At the last joint event, the two South Americans achieved their best result of the year. In Moscow , they took fifth place. Bruno Oscar Schmidt then returned to his former partner Joao Maciel, while Benjamin Insfran continued his career with the reigning vice world champion Márcio Araújo . The two Brazilians, who competed together several years ago, finished ninth in Stare Jablonki and Klagenfurt. In Åland they reached the semi-finals by beating Klemperer / Koreng . There they defeated the reigning world champions Emanuel / Alison and in the final the current Olympic champions Rogers / Dalhausser and thus secured their first joint gold medal of the season.

On the World Tour 2012 Benjamin Insfran played again with Bruno Oscar Schmidt.
2013
In 2013 Benjamin Insfran played with his ex-partner Harley Marques on the German Smart Beach Tour .
