Legmoin is both a municipality ( French commune rurale ) and a department encompassing the same area in the West African state of Burkina Faso in the Sud-Ouest region and the Noumbiel province . In 2006 the community had 13,551 inhabitants.
Legmoin is located around 15 kilometers west of the Black Volta River , which forms the border with Ghana here. The provincial capital Gaoua is about 55 kilometers northwest, after the state capital Ouagadougou in the north it is about 650 kilometers by road.
On June 27, 2013, a project partnership agreement between the two partner cities of Ingolstadt in Germany and Grasse in France with the municipality of Legmoin was signed, as part of which development projects are being implemented in this structurally weak area.
