The Aruba Athletics Federation participated in the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha . An athlete was nominated by the Aruban Federation.
Jonathan Busby , who contested an official 5000 m race for the first time, suffered a faint attack half a lap before the finish line. His competitor Braima Suncar Dabó from Guinea-Bissau then broke off his run to help Busby to the finish. This display of special sportsmanship was recognized internationally in the press.
