The Athletics Federation of Ethiopia plans to take part in the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha . 37 athletes were nominated by the Ethiopian Association in mid-September 2019. The world record holder in the 1,500 meter run Genzebe Dibaba canceled her start the following week due to an injury.
