Telahun Haile Bekele ( Amharic ጥላሁን ኃይሌ በቀለ ; * May 13, 1999 ) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner .

Athletic career

Telahun Haile Bekele gained his first experience in international championships at the U20 World Championships 2018 in Tampere , Finland , where he finished fifth in the 5000 meter run in 13: 23.25 minutes . The following year he won the Golden Gala in Rome in 12: 52.98 minutes.

In 2019 , Bekele became Ethiopian champion in the 5000 meter run.
