The Leidtobel Bridge is a covered bridge over the Breitach in Hirschegg in the municipality of Mittelberg in Vorarlberg . The bridge is a listed building .

history

A covered bridge was first mentioned in a document in 1578 at the site of today's bridge . 1736, the bridge was by a tramp ignited.

Today's wooden bridge was built in 1840 as a covered bridge with a hipped roof . The massive construction of the bridge ensured that it withstood the heavy floods of 1926 and 1989.

The bridge bears a figure of St. Johannes Nepomuk from the 1st half of the 18th century. The original figure is now in a museum and has been replaced by a replica on the bridge. A little above the bridge is a shooting range , which was built in 1878.
