Leif Aune

Leif Jørgen Aune (born June 7, 1925 in Bodø ; † July 20, 2019 ) was a Norwegian politician of the Arbeiderpartiet (Ap), who mainly dealt with district politics . From 1973 to 1978 he was the local minister of labor in his country.

Life

Aune grew up in Bodø and graduated in economics in 1951. From 1951 to 1954 he worked as a secretary in the office for environmental planning in Nordland . He then worked as a consultant in the Northern Norway Fund until 1961, before working as a sub-director at Distriktenes utbyggingsfond (DU), a state-financed development bank, until 1970 . From 1970 he was the so-called Finansrådmann of the city of Tromsø , i.e. the official responsible for the city's finances.

On March 19, 1971, Aune became State Secretary in the Ministry of Local Affairs and Labor. He held the post until October 18, 1972. From October 16, 1973, he served as Norwegian Minister of Local and Labor Affairs, which he was in both the Bratteli II government and the subsequent Nordli government until January 11, 1978.

He then worked again at DU until 1990, but now as head of administration. In 1990 he received the distinction of first class knight of the Saint Olav Order .
