Leif Wennerström
Leif Wennerström (* 24. December 1937 ) is a Swedish drummer of modern jazz .
Wennerström had been a member of Bernt Rosengren's quartet since 1963 , which toured Scandinavia and Eastern Europe and also performed on the jazz jamboree . Since 1967 it has also performed with Don Cherry and then with Mongezi Feza and has also recorded albums with them. He also accompanied traveling American musicians such as Ben Webster or Benny Bailey in 1965 ( How Deep Can You Go? 1976). In the 1980s he also worked with Bertil Lövgren and Krister Andersson and then belonged to Per Henrik Wallin's trio . It wasn't until 1995 that he presented an album as a leader. Wennerström participated in 81 jazz recordings between 1960 and 2001.
