The Leigh River is a river in the northwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .
geography
The river rises east of the Arthur Pieman Conservation Area . From there it flows to the northwest and flows into the Lindsay River about five kilometers east of the settlement Balfour , on the eastern edge of the protected area .
