Lene Lund Høy Karlsen

Lene Lund Høy Karlsen (born June 8, 1979 in Ørbæk , Denmark ; born Lene Lund Nielsen ) is a former Danish handball player .

Lene Lund Høy Karlsen started playing handball at GOG . Then the 1.82 m tall circle runner played for the clubs FHK and Odense HK. She later returned to GOG, with whom she took third place in the Danish league in 2003. In 2005 Lene Lund Høy Karlsen moved to Viborg HK , with whom she won the Danish championship and the Champions League in the first season . Although her contract expired in the summer of 2010, she interrupted her career beforehand due to pregnancy.

In addition, she was a member of the Danish national team , for which she scored 181 goals in 115 games. She was part of the squad of her national association at the 2009 World Cup in China .

On June 20, 2009 she married Henrik Høy Karlsen in Gudbjerg kirke.
