Lenka Pohoralek (born Lenka Marosiová , born May 22, 1982 in Poprad , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak- Austrian dancer in the fields of standard and Latin American dances as well as a dance teacher. She became known to a wide audience since 2012 through her participation in the dance show Dancing Stars .

Life

Lenka Marosiová moved to Austria in 2001 and lives in Vienna. Since 2008 she has been dancing with Thomas Kraml with the professionals for Austria. With Kraml she became Austrian national champion and quarter-finalist in the Latin American dances at the European Championships in 2012. She also works as a dance teacher at the Kraml dance school in Vienna.

In 2012 she was assigned the actor Albert Fortell as a dance partner at Dancing Stars (then still as Lenka Marosiová) . The pair were eliminated in the second preliminary round.

She then married and changed her name to Pohoralek. As Lenka Pohoralek , she was back at Dancing Stars 2013. This time she got the pop singer Gregor Glanz as a dance partner. The couple dropped out after the eighth show and came in 7th. In season 9, 2014, she danced with Erik Schinegger . Schinegger injured himself shortly before the seventh round and voluntarily gave up on April 24, 2014. With Thomas May , she came in tenth place in 2016. In 2017 she danced with Walter Schachner .
