Lenne Bridge Ohle

The Lennebrücke Ohle is a protected as a cultural monument railway bridge of the 1969 disused railway line Plettenberg – Herscheid over the river Lenne in the North Rhine-Westphalian town of Plettenberg , district Ohle . In the summer of 2015, a lookout point was built on a segment.

history

The fish-bellied bridge over the river and the floodplains is part of an arch with more than 180 ° that describes the Plettenberg – Herscheid railway line at the junction of the Ruhr-Sieg line . The bridge was built in 1914 as a steel truss bridge and continues as an approx. 110 meter long railway embankment that merges into the three-arched Bommecke viaduct .
