The Wilhelmsthal hydropower plant is a run-of-river power plant on the Lenne , located downstream near Werdohl . With a head of 3.65 m, two Francis turbines achieve a combined output of 600 kW. The power plant was built in 1916 and is a listed building . It is leased to the Mark-E company .
The weir system was renovated in 2011 . Before the weir could not be closed, so that the upper ditch had fallen dry and the power plant was at a standstill.
The Lennestau is designated as a nature reserve Lennestau in Werdohl-Lengelsen / Wilhelmstal .
