Lenzen is a district of the municipality of Karwitz in the joint municipality of Elbtalaue in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony .

The place borders on Karwitz to the northwest, the seat of the municipality is north of the federal highway 191 .

history

For the year 1848 it is stated that Lenzen had 22 residential buildings in which 92 residents lived. At that time the place was parish after Hitzacker , but had its own church. There was a school in Lenzen. On December 1, 1910, Lenzen in the Dannenberg district had 105 inhabitants. On July 1, 1972, Lenzen was incorporated into the Karwitz community.
