Leo Greiner
Leo Greiner (born April 1, 1876 in Brno , † August 21, 1928 in Berlin ) was an Austro-German writer of Jewish origin, critic, late Romantic poet, Lenau researcher, translator from Chinese.
Life
After the early death of his father, he left Brno and spent years wandering through Austria-Hungary's cities with his mother and sister, who was an actress, then settled in Kronstadt and from there to Munich , where he studied literary history and aesthetics from 1895. There he was also a lecturer for dramaturgy and with the name "Dionysius Tod" one of the "eleven executioners" (first political cabaret in Germany).
From 1904, after moving to Berlin, he was lecturer (dramaturge) at S. Fischer.
He was also a first lieutenant in the reserve.
