Leonardus Justinus Heijdenrijk (born June 12, 1932 in Den Helder , † February 19, 1999 in Amersfoort ) was a Dutch architect .

Life

Heijdenrijk attended the Triniteits Lyceum in Haarlem and then studied architecture at the Technical University of Delft . There he graduated in 1961 and worked in the architecture office of GJ van der Grinten in Utrecht and later in Amersfoort, who dealt with industrial design and urban development. In 1965 he became van der Grintens' deputy director and business partner. In 1970, L. Manche, another manager came to this company, so that the office was renamed "Environmental Design BV".

Heijdenrijk designed, among other things, bridge apartments in the Kattenbroek district of Amersfoort and the TWRC building of the University of Twente , which partially burned down in 2002. He founded the Architecten Kollektief Heijdenrijk based in Amersfoort. His works were shaped by structuralism .
