Leopold Mistinger

Leopold Mistinger (born March 16, 1904 in Vienna ; † April 3, 2001 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and printer. From 1945 to 1963 he was a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council . From 1963 to 1968 he was district chairman of the 15th district, Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus , from 1968 to 1970 member of the Austrian National Council .

Mistinger worked professionally as a printer and as a councilor for the municipality of Vienna and represented the SPÖ from 1945 to 1963 in the Vienna state parliament and municipal council. He was also head of Jugend am Werk and from June 27, 1968 to March 31, 1970 a member of the National Council.

Between 1934 and 1945 he was arrested several times for political reasons, and between 1943 and 1945 he was imprisoned in the Flossenbürg concentration camp .

Leopold Mistinger was buried in the Neustift cemetery (group C, row 12, number 6).
