Leo Weisz (* 1900 Kingdom of Hungary , † 1955 Switzerland ), also Leó Weisz , was a Hungarian football player and coach .

Career

player

Weisz was a member of the MTK Budapest from 1920 to 1925 , with which he was Hungarian champion five times in a row . After he ended the active playing career, he hit the coaching career.

Trainer

Arriving in Germany in early 1925 , he also trained his first club with SV Schwaben Augsburg . He stayed in southern Germany for three years and was in charge of FC Wacker in 1926 and Bayern Munich from 1927 to 1928 , before coaching the United Breslau Sports Friends in 1929 . From 1930 to 1931 he was responsible for the Würzburger Kickers and in 1932 - for the last time in Germany - for Alemannia Aachen . Due to his Jewish ancestry and the political framework, he left the country and settled in Switzerland .

The FC Biel-Bienne was his first team in 1933 , followed by Servette FC Genève in 1935/36 and FC Biel-Bienne from 1939 to 1942 . He then oversaw Neuchâtel Xamax from 1942 to 1946 and Etoile La Chaux-de-Fonds for the 1946/47 season . His last coaching activity was from 1952 to 1954 at FC Biel-Bienne.
