The Nemzeti Bajnokság 1924/25 was the 22nd season in the history of the highest Hungarian football league . MTK Budapest became champion for the twelfth time .

Only teams from Budapest could take part in the championship.

mode

The season was played back and forth. There were two points for a win, one point for a draw and no point for a loss. The two first placed qualified for the final round of the Hungarian championship. The last two placed had to be relegated at the end of the season.

    Vidéki Bajnokság

    The teams outside Budapest determined one participant each in six regional groups for the final round of the Hungarian Championship, which was held in Budapest.

    Group south

    The first division of group south was played with 21 teams in two seasons. In the final for the group victory, Szegedi AK prevailed against Csabai AK with 4: 1.

    South-west group

    The first division of the group south-west played with twelve teams in two seasons. Pécsi Iparos BTC won the group final against Kaposvári MÁV TE 3-1.

    Group north

    The first division of group north was played with 16 teams in two seasons. In the final of the season winners Diósgyőr-Vasgyári TK prevailed against Salgótarjáni BTC 1-0.

    Group east

    The first division of group east was played with eight teams and won by Debreceni Vasutas SC .

    Central Hungary group

    In the first division of the Central Hungary group, 28 teams played in three seasons. In the final round to win the group, Soroksári AC was able to prevail against Szolnoki MÁV SE and Szentlőrinci AC .

    Group west

    Eleven teams played in the first division of Group West. The winner was Szombathelyi AK .

    Finals

    The final round of the Hungarian Championship was played in a knockout system in Budapest. In the final on August 30, 1925, MTK Budapest prevailed 4-1 against Ferencváros after the first game on June 14, 1925 had ended 0-0.
