The Nemzeti Bajnokság 1923/24 was the 21st season in the history of the highest Hungarian football league . MTK Budapest became champion for the eleventh time .

    Vidéki Bajnokság

    The teams outside Budapest determined the participants in six regional groups for the final round of the country championship, which was held in Budapest.

    Group south

    The first division of group south was played with 15 teams in two seasons. In the final for group victory, Csabai AK prevailed 2-0 against Szegedi Vasutasok SE .

    South-west group

    The first division of the group south-west played with ten teams in two seasons. Pécsi SC won the group final against Kaposvári MÁV TE 4-0.

    Group north

    The first division of group north was played with 16 teams in two seasons. In the final of the season winners, Diósgyőr-Vasgyári TK prevailed against Salgótarjáni BTC 2-0.

    Group east

    The first division of group east was played with nine teams and won by Debreceni Vasutas SC .

    Central Hungary group

    In the first division of the Central Hungary group, 26 teams played in three seasons. In the final round for group victory, Váci SE was able to prevail against Kistarcsai SC and Kecskeméti AC .

    Group west

    Ten teams played in the first division of Group West. The winner was Szombathelyi AK .

    The final round of the country championship was held in Budapest and won by Szombathelyi AK :

    Endgame

    In the final of the all-Hungarian championship MTK Budapest won against Szombathelyi AK in the replay 3-0 after the first game had ended 1-1.
