Dunakanyar Vác FC is a Hungarian football club with origins in the city of Vác on the Danube Bend (Hungarian = Dunakanyar ). The club was the 1994 football champions of Hungary. In 2007 the association merged with Újbuda LTC. In 2009, however, this connection dissolved again.

The club was founded on November 28, 1899 as Váci Sportegyesület (German Vácer sports club ). Mainly cycling , fencing , gymnastics and tennis were practiced there . The first football game was played on May 24, 1904 against Muegyetem FC, a university team from Budapest . The game against the then second division club was lost 3-0.

The club plays its home games in Vác Város Önkormányzata , which has a capacity of around 12,000 spectators. The club colors are red and blue.

Under the name Váci FC Samsung , the club won the Hungarian championship in 1994 . Before 1926 only clubs from Budapest were allowed to play in the first division. During this time, the Vácer won regional championships in 1913 and 1924.

The team was relegated to the second division after the 2006/07 season, after only being promoted again in the preseason. Before that, Vác played in the top division from 1987 to 2000. It was the most successful period of the club, in which he was also twice runner-up and three times reached the cup final. From 2001 to 2003 the club was third class.

Vác FC took part in European competitions five times, most recently in the 1995/96 season in the UEFA Cup. The overall balance: 12 games, 3 wins, 2 draws, 7 defeats, 10:24 goals.
