Leon Šarc (born May 28, 1996 in Ljubljana ) is a Slovenian Nordic combined athlete .
Career
Leon Šarc started on the international level for the first time on December 15 and 16, 2012 as part of the Nordic Combined Alpine Cup in Seefeld in Tyrol , where he finished 56th and 43rd. Since then, other competitions have followed regularly, with his best career result in the Alpencup being a 13th place in February 2016 in Planica . Šarc made his debut in a competition on January 25, 2015 in Planica in the Continental Cup , in which he reached the 37th place. As a result, there were further Continental Cup participations in the following years. Two years later, in January 2017 in Høydalsmo, Norway, he scored his first Continental Cup points with his first top 30 placements. His best Continental Cup placement was a 15th place on February 4, 2018 in Planica.
On August 27 and 28, 2016, Šarc made his debut in Oberwiesenthal in the Grand Prix , where he finished 19th and last together with Jaka Matko in the team sprint and 51st place in the individual competition. He achieved his first Grand Prix points with a 29th place at the competition in Planica on September 30, 2017. On January 27, 2017, Šarc finally started the World Cup in Seefeld for the first time ; here he was 50. Some more World Cup participations followed, but in which he could not achieve top 30 placements. In March 2018, Šarc competed for the last time.
Since 2019 he has been participating in cycling races for the Kolesarski klub Nova Gorica club .
