Leon Friederici

Leon Christopher Friederici (born March 19,  1995 in Berlin ) is a German basketball player .

career

Friederici, whose younger brothers Vincent and Marc also became competitive basketball players , played in the youth division of DBV Charlottenburg , then for Basketball Berlin Süd eV in the youth basketball league (NBBL). In September 2013 he moved to Central German BC , where he trained in the professional team and strengthened the U19 of the MBC in the NBBL.

In the 2014/15 season, the 1.90-meter-long shooting guard was a member of the SG Braunschweig team in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB , in the 2015 summer break he moved to TSV Crailsheim Merlins , played primarily in the second men's team, and came in October 2015 but also to his debut in the basketball league . However, Friederici did not become an integral part of Crailsheim's first team, in December 2016 he left Crailsheim and joined the Giants Nördlingen (2nd Bundesliga ProB).

During the summer break of 2017, he was signed by FC Schalke 04 (2nd Bundesliga ProB). After a year in Gelsenkirchen  , Friederici accepted an offer from Wiha Panthers Schwenningen in the same division in July 2018  . After he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA as a successor with Schwenningen , he received a contract extension in June 2019. In August 2020 he signed a two-year contract with the second division Eisbären Bremerhaven .
