Leonhard Brockmann

Leonhard Brockmann (born June 24, 1935 in Dülmen ; † November 25, 2015 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). He sat in the Hessian state parliament.

Life

Leonhard Brockmann comes from a family with strong roots in the Catholic faith.

After attending primary school, he trained as a shoemaker from 1950 to 1953 . In the following years he worked as a worker and laboratory assistant in the chemical industry until he did an apprenticeship at the Catholic Social Institute in Bad Honnef from 1968 to 1969 . Then he worked in the company chaplaincy of the Diocese of Mainz .

Leonhard Brockmann was active in the Catholic Workers' Movement (KAB) since 1955 . He was works council and state chairman for the Christian trade union federation in Hesse.

Leonhard Brockmann was married and had three children.

politics

In 1961 Leonhard Brockmann joined the CDU and was involved in the Christian-Democratic workforce . For many years he held district executive offices in the CDU and CDA.

From 1972 to 1981 Leonhard Brockmann was a member of the Eppertshausen parish and from 1981 to 1985 on the parish council.

Leonhard Brockmann was from December 1, 1974 to August 4, 1983 and from June 6, 1984 to April 4, 1995 for six electoral terms a member of the Hessian State Parliament.

Since 1981 he was a member of the representative assembly of the AOK Darmstadt-Dieburg.
