Cartographic drawings are at the center of Leonhard Fink's work . The artist creates large-format map images with pencil , which are dedicated to individual countries, regions or cities. Fink gives detailed geographic features such as mountains and water, but also buildings and transport networks. He playfully alternates between different drawing perspectives, the two- and three-dimensionality of the depicted and different reading directions of the sheets, which result from turning the sheet during the drawing process. The artist supplements his dense and complex cartographic works with text elements that serve as identification and orientation aids for the viewer.
