Lukas Pfisterer (born June 4, 1973 , legal resident in Aarau and Basel ) is a Swiss politician and lawyer. He is president of the FDP. The Liberals Aargau and since 2013 member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Aargau.

biography

Professional background

Lukas Pfisterer grew up in Aarau. After compulsory schooling, he completed the Matura type B at the old canton school in Aarau . 1994-1998 he studied law at the University of Lausanne . His first professional positions were as clerk at the district court of Lenzburg, at the higher court of the canton of Aargau and at the federal court in Lausanne. He has been a patented attorney for the Canton of Aargau since 2001. In 2007 Pfisterer received his doctorate on the subject of "Federal Administrative Ordinances" and in 2018 he completed further training as a specialist lawyer for construction and real estate law from the Swiss Bar Association . Today he works as an independent lawyer with his own law firm in Aarau.

Political career

In 2002 Lukas Pfisterer was elected as the successor to Thierry Burkart as President of the Jungfreisinnigen Aargau. He held this office until 2004. From 2003 to 2005 Pfisterer also served as a resident council in Aarau's city council. In 2006 the sovereign elected him to the city council of Aarau, where he was head of the youth and school departments as well as spatial planning and building construction until the end of 2017. In 2012 he was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Aargau at the first attempt . In 2017, the liberals of the canton of Aargau elected him to succeed Matthias Jauslin as cantonal party president. As such, he is a member of the party presidents' conference and delegate of the FDP. Life

Lukas Pfisterer lives and works in Aarau. He is married and has a family man. To compensate, he works as an active cyclist in his free time.
