Matthias Samuel Jauslin (born April 20, 1962 in Winterthur ; resident in Muttenz ) is a Swiss entrepreneur and politician ( FDP ). Since 2015 he has been a member of the National Council and a member of the State Political Commission.

Life

Jauslin grew up in Gibstorf and has lived in Wohlen since 1988 . He completed an apprenticeship as an electrician. After completing higher vocational training and various further training courses, he founded Jost Wohlen AG together with two partners. Jauslin is still the managing director and main shareholder of this company, which operates in the field of electrical systems, telematics and automation. He was a first lieutenant in the Swiss Army. From 1980 to 1989 he was a member of the national team in the military pentathlon . He is married and has three grown children.

Jauslin has been the central president of the Swiss Aero Club (AeCS) since 2017 and privately as a glider pilot of the Lenzburg glider group in the air.

politics

Jauslin is a member of the National Council and the State Political Commission. In 2015 he moved to the National Council for Philipp Müller after he had been elected to the Council of States . From 2013 to 2017 Matthias Samuel Jauslin was President of the FDP Canton Aargau and from 2009 to 2015 a member of the Grand Council in Aargau. At the municipal level, he was involved in the Wohlen residents' council from 1998 to 2006 , after which he was a member of the Wohlen municipal council until 2013 and was vice-administrator. As a local councilor, he headed the finance department.
