Benjamin Giezendanner
Benjamin Giezendanner (born April 22, 1982 ; legal resident in Wattwil ) is a Swiss entrepreneur and politician ( SVP ).
Life
Benjamin Giezendanner is one of three children of the entrepreneur and SVP politician Ulrich Giezendanner .
Since 2008 he has been working for the transport company Giezendanner Transport AG, in which he now also holds shares. He has been the sole managing director since 2017.
Giezendanner has the degree of captain in the Swiss Army .
He is married with two children and lives in Rothrist.

In 2001 Giezendanner was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Aargau ; at 18 he was the youngest elected councilor of all time. On October 23, 2016, he achieved the best result with 6049 votes in the elections for the Grand Council in the Zofingen district . In 2017 he was elected Speaker of Parliament with 134 out of 135 votes. In October 2019, Giezendanner ran for election to the National Council and was elected.
Benjamin Giezendanner's political focus is on commercial and economic policy, transport and security policy, and family policy.
He has been a board member of the Aargau Trade Association since 2016 and vice-president since May 2018. He has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Aargau Foundation for Freedom and Responsibility in Politics and Business since 2015.
