Marianne Binder-Keller (2019)

Marianne Binder-Keller (born June 15, 1958 ) is a Swiss politician ( CVP ). She has been a major councilor in the canton of Aargau since 2013 and party president of the CVP Aargau since January 2016. She was elected to the National Council on October 20, 2019 .

Life

Binder-Keller works as a communications consultant and publicist. Until September 2013 she was head of communications at CVP Switzerland and thus Tom Jauch's predecessor. She has been a member of the Council since 2013. She is also president of the CVP of the Baden district, since 2015 in the party presidium of the CVP Switzerland. and since 2016 President of the CVP of the Canton of Aargau.

The focus of her political work is on the economic framework, job security and ethical issues. Accordingly, she has introduced various initiatives in the Grand Council of the Canton of Aargau, for example for the reduction of bureaucracy in the administration or against radicalism.

Marianne Binder-Keller lives in Baden . She is married to Andreas Binder, who was also the Grand Councilor of the Canton of Aargau. Her son Simon Binder has been Co-President of the CVP of the city of Baden since 2014. Her mother is the writer Rosemarie Keller , her father Anton Keller , a former national councilor from the canton of Aargau. Her father-in-law is Julius Binder , a former national and state councilor , also from the canton of Aargau.
