Alois Huber (born November 21, 1962 in Muri AG , resident in Boswil ) is a Swiss politician ( SVP ) and farmer. He has been a member of the National Council since March 2, 2020 .

Job and family

Huber is a farmer and passed the federal master craftsman examination in 1988. From 1984 to 1990 he was the manager of a pig breeding and fattening company and from 1991 to 1999 of the “St. Benedikt Children's Home” farm in Hermetschwil . In 1999 he took over the lease of the Schloss Wildegg estate , which he continues to manage.

Alois Huber is married and has five children.

Politics and offices

From 2012 until his resignation on January 7, 2020, Huber was a major councilor in Aargau . On March 3, 2020, he succeeded Jean-Pierre Gallati in the National Council . Gallati had resigned from the National Council seat he won in the National Council election on October 20, 2019 , as he was elected to the Aargau Government Council in the second ballot on November 24, 2019. Alois Huber is President of the Aargau Farmers 'Association, board member of the Swiss Farmers' Association (SBV), board member of the agricultural construction and architecture office of SBV, board member of “Mittelland Milch” and board member of Aargauer Zentralmolkerei.
