Leonhard Gregotsch

Leonhard Gregotsch OSCam (born September 23, 1933 in St. Johann, western Hungary) is an Austrian religious .

Life

Gregotsch joined the order of the Camillians in 1950 . He studied philosophy in Kramsach in Tyrol and Catholic theology in the Westphalian city of Münster and received on 29 June 1957 in Eisenstadt , the ordination . After further studies in Vienna , Salzburg and Rome he was hospital chaplain in Vienna-Lainz and Salzburg-Lehen.

Gregotsch was teacher, director, superior and administrator of the private grammar school of the Kamillians at Losensteinleithen Castle in Upper Austria.

In 1968 Leonhard Gregotsch first became Provincial of the Camillians of Austria (1968 to 1974; 1983 to 1992; since 2001).

From 1971 to 1977 he was an assistant general to the top management of the order specializing in nursing in Rome. From 1972 to 1979 he was also assistant to the Secretary General of the Austrian Conference of Superiorities , Abbot Isfried Franz . For many years he was General Secretary of the Superior Conference of the Male Orders of Austria and head of the working committee of the religious hospitals.
