Leonhard Lehmann

Leonhard Lehmann OFMCap (* 1947 in Zell am Harmersbach ) is a German theologian .

Life

Leonhard Lehmann was the sixth child in a family of small farmers. After elementary school he attended the Altsprachliches Gymnasium in Bensheim and lived in the Capuchin boarding school . After graduating from high school, he entered the Capuchin order as a novice and studied philosophy and theology in Münster and Tübingen. He was ordained priest on May 1, 1973 from Auxiliary Bishop Oskar Saier in the pilgrimage church Maria zu den Ketten in Zell, then he was chaplain in Oberhausen- Sterkrade for three years . In 1982 Leonhard Lehmann received his doctorate in theology and was released for further studies in Rome at the Pontifical University Antonianum of the Franciscans and Capuchins in Rome . He then worked as a lecturer at the Philosophical-Theological University (PTH) Münster . In 1989 he received a chair for the writings of Francis and Clare at the Antonianum in Rome and teaches as professor for religious history and spirituality at the PTH Münster.
