Leonid Alexandrowitsch Bogdanow ( Russian Леонид Александрович Богданов ; born June 23, 1927 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a former Soviet saber fencer .
successes
Leonid Bogdanov won the bronze medal with the Soviet team at the 1955 World Championships in Rome . The following year he was part of the Soviet team at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne , which finished third behind Hungary and Poland in the final round . Together with Lev Kuznetsov , Jakow Rylski , Jewhen Tscherepowskyj and Dawid Tyschler , he received bronze.
