Leonid Alexejewitsch Komarow ( Russian Леонид Алексеевич Комаров ; † August 5, 2011 ) was a Soviet ski jumper .

Career

Komarov jumped his first international tournament for the Four Hills Tournament in 1976/77 . However, he was unsuccessful. On February 27, 1980, he competed in his first World Cup competition in St. Moritz and took 8th place on the large hill. With that he won his first and only World Cup points. In his other jumps, however, he remained far behind the World Cup points. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 1982 , he finished 57th on the normal hill. After he remained unsuccessful even after the World Cup, he ended his active ski jumping career after the 1982/83 season .
