Leonid Yurtayev
Leonid Nikolajewitsch Jurtajew ( Russian Леонид Николаевич Юртаев , at the World Chess Federation FIDE Leonid Yurtaev ; born May 1, 1959 in Frunze , † June 2, 2011 in Bishkek ) was a Kyrgyz chess player .
He won the Kyrgyz individual championship several times. He played for Kyrgyzstan at six Chess Olympiads : 1992 to 2000 and 2006 .
He played four times for the Kyrgyz SSR at the Soviet team championships (1975, 1979, 1983 and 1985).
In 1986 he became International Master , and since 1996 he has held the title of Grand Master . His highest rating was 2552 in July 2000.
