Ernesto Kazbekowitsch Inarkiev ( Russian Эрнесто Казбекович Инаркиев , scientific transliteration Ernesto Inarkiev ; born December 9, 1985 in the Osh region , Kyrgyzstan ) is a leading Kyrgyz-Russian chess player .

Life

When Inarkiev, named after Ernesto Che Guevara , was born in 1985 in a small town in the Osh region in what is now Kyrgyzstan , his parents were employees in an industrial complex there. In 1991 the family moved to the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek , where Inarkiev came into contact with the game of chess . At the age of eleven he won the championship title, in 1998 (at the age of 13) he played for Kyrgyzstan at the Chess Olympiad in Elista , where he scored 6.5 out of 9 (+4 = 5 −0) and for the first time defeated a grandmaster . In 1999 he won the U16 youth championship in Asia. The FIDE -President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov was so impressed with the athletic performance of the 13-year-old that he Inarkiews the family to the Kalmyk invited capital Elista and has since funded. Inarkiev has lived in Elista since 2000, the year in which he last played for Kyrgyzstan at the Chess Olympiad in Istanbul (+7 = 4 −3) and received the title of International Master . He was looked after by the Russian star coach Mark Dvoretski .

In 2001 he was U16 European Youth Champion in Kallithea (Chalkidiki), Greece . In 2002 Inarkiev won the Russian Youth Championship with a lead of two points, in the same year he received the grandmaster title and was shared sixth in the Russian championship . In 2003 he won the Hoogeveen Open , in 2003 and 2004 he came second at the Czech Open in Pardubice . In 2004 he achieved an outstanding result with 6/7 at the European Championship for club teams in Izmir . In 2006 he won the highest league in Russia in Tomsk , one of the busiest Russian tournaments, and qualified for the Russian championship in Moscow in December, where he came in third with 7 points from 11 games. He acted as the official commentator at the world championship match Vesselin Topalow against Vladimir Kramnik . Inarkiev has taken part in all the World Chess Cups since 2005, and was most successful in 2007 when he reached the third round. In 2016 Inarkiev won the European Championship in Gjakova .

His best FIDE world rankings to date was 26th in June and September 2016.

Inarkiev won five times (2004, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2012) the Russian team championship with Tomsk-400 , with which he also won the European Club Cup in 2005 and 2006 . He has already participated in the Russian team championship with Gasowik Tyumen , Spasio Moscow , Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk and SchSM-Legacy Square Capital Moscow . In addition to Russia, Inarkiev has played in Chinese ( 2008 and 2012 for Wuxi , 2009 , 2015 , 2016 for Qingdao School , 2017 for Hebei and 2018 for Hangzhou Turbine ), French ( 2008 for Cannes Echecs ), Spanish (2007 for CA Cuna de Dragones-Ajoblanco Mérida , 2009 and 2011 for CA Marcote Mondariz , 2016 for Mérida Patrimonio de la Humanidad ) and Macedonian (for the SK Alkaloid Skopje , with which he also participated in the European Club Cup 2008) leagues. In the German Federal Chess League he played for SK Schwäbisch Hall from the 2014/15 season until the team withdrew after the 2017/18 season, and for SV 1930 Hockenheim in the 2019/20 season .
