Wladislaw Michailowitsch Artemjew ( Russian Владислав Михайлович Артемьев ; at FIDE Vladislav Artemiev ; born March 5, 1998 in Omsk ) is a Russian chess player .

Life

Artemjew learned to play chess at the age of six and a half from his father Mikhail Stanislavowitsch, who himself has the skill level of a candidate for a master's degree. His first coach was Vladimir Indrikov. The support he received from his father, who became his manager, allowed his talent to develop at an early stage.

In 2012 Artemjew (at the age of 14 and one of the youngest participants) won the “World's Youth Stars” tournament in Kirishi in front of 19-year-old Vladimir Belous and Grigori Oparin, who was one year older .
