Sanan Wjatscheslawowitsch Sjugirow ( Russian Санан Вячеславович Сюгиров ; born January 31, 1993 in Elista ) is a Kalmuck grandmaster in chess .

Life

Sanan Sjugirow is trained by the grandmasters Andrij Sontach and Juri Jakowitsch in Elista and Lipezk . At the FIDE Grand Prix 2008 in Elista he was a commentator together with Boris Spasski . Sjugirow studies at the State Pedagogical University in Lipetsk.

successes

Sanan Sjugirow had early successes. At the U10 World Cup in 2002 in Heraklion he was third, the U10 World Cup in 2003 in Kallithea (Chalkidiki) he won. At the U10 European Championships in Peñíscola in 2002 and in Budva in 2003 , he finished second. At the U12 World Cup in Belfort in 2005 , he also came second, he won the U12 European Championships in Urgup in 2004 and in Herceg Novi in 2005 . He won the U14 World Championship in Kemer in 2007 and the U14 European Championship in Šibenik that same year with 8.5 points from 9 games and 1.5 points ahead. In 2007 he also won the FEMIDA tournament in Kharkiv , a category 8 tournament , without losing a game. In 2008 he won the Russian U20 championship and came fourth at the Chigorin Memorial in Saint Petersburg . At the European Championships in Budva in 2009, he won against Iwan Tscheparinow , Predrag Nikolić , Loek van Wely and Maxim Rodshtein, among others . He came in 16th place with a rating performance of 2746 Elo points. At the U20 Junior World Championship in 2010 in Chotowa, Poland, he finished second. In 2013 he won the Open in Cappelle-la-Grande .

At the 2010 Chess Olympiad , he played on the top board of Russia's fourth team. He played club chess in Russia for Perspektiva Lipetsk , Ugra Khanty-Mansiysk , PGMB Rostov-on-Don and Zhiguli Samara . With Ugra he took second place at the European Club Cup 2010 in Plovdiv . In Greece he plays for EES Korydallou . He has held the grandmaster title since November 2008. The norms for this he achieved at the FEMIDA tournament in 2007, at a 1st Saturday GM tournament in Budapest in May 2008 , which he won, and in qualifying for the Russian individual championship in 2008 in Novokuznetsk .
