Leonz Leuthard

Leonz Leuthard (born September 6, 1925 , † January 25, 2016 in Merenschwand ) was a Swiss politician ( CVP ).

Life

Leuthard was from 1952 to 1961 financial administrator and from 1954 to 1991 municipality clerk of Merenschwand; after his retirement he was the municipal debt enforcement officer until 1997 . From 1957 to 1977 Leuthard represented the CVP in the Grand Council of the Canton of Aargau . He is considered "one of the fathers of the Aargau Municipal Law of 1978".

Leonz Leuthard was the father of Federal Councilor Doris Leuthard .
