Leopold Gräßer

Otto Leopold Gräßer (born April 10, 1825 in Mosel near Zwickau , † March 11, 1895 ibid) was a German manor owner and conservative politician .

Life and work

Gräßer had been the owner of the Obermosel manor near Zwickau since 1868 , which had previously belonged to his father Franz Julius Gräßer († 1862). On site he also worked as a justice of the peace . From 1865 to 1867 he was a deputy member and then until 1894 a full member of the administrative board of the Agricultural Credit Association in the Kingdom of Saxony . He was a member of the board of the Conservative Society in the 18th Reichstag district. From 1869 to 1875 he represented the 39th rural constituency in the Second Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament .

From 1872 to 1877 he was an elected member and from 1885 until his death a full member of the state cultural council and was still a member of the board of the agricultural district association in the Erzgebirge with its seat in Chemnitz until his death .
