Leopold Grimm , known as Leo Grimm, (born November 16, 1962 in Spaichingen ) is a German entrepreneur and politician of the FDP . From 2011 to 2014 he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg .

education and profession

Leo Grimm trained as a toolmaker from 1980 to 1984 . After completing basic military service, he worked in the profession he had learned. In 1989 he founded a medium-sized company specializing in special machine construction, Grimm Zuführtechnik GmbH & Co. KG, which today (2010) has around 40 employees.

politics

Leo Grimm was initially in the Junge Union and the CDU . Later he ran in his own list for the Spaichingen municipal council. In 2007 he became chairman of the then newly founded FDP local association. He has been a member of the Spaichingen municipal council since 2009 and is chairman of the new FDP list. At the same time he was a district councilor in the Tuttlingen district council .

In 2010 he was elected as a candidate for the Baden-Württemberg state elections in March 2011 , 28 votes ahead of Claus-Peter Bensch . In the election he won a second mandate for the FDP in the Tuttlingen-Donaueschingen state constituency .

On August 1, 2014 Leo Grimm resigned from his state parliament mandate; The successor is Niko Reith .

Private

Leo Grimm is Catholic and has three siblings. He is single and lives with his partner in Spaichingen. Since July 2014, Grimm has been president of the soccer club FC 08 Villingen . He was previously the club's president from 2006 to 2008.
