Leopold Jochberger

Leopold Jochberger (born November 14, 1895 in Ternberg in Upper Austria ; † August 10, 1964 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP).

education and profession

After attending a six-class primary school , he began industrial employment in 1912. In 1919 he became district secretary of the Christian trade unions in Steyr . In 1922 he became state secretary of the Christian trade unions in Upper Austria and in 1946 general secretary of the Austrian Workers' Association (ÖAAB).

Political mandates

  • 27 February 1947 to 5 December 1949, a member of the Federal Council ( V. and VI. Legislative period), ÖVP
