Leopold Schumm
Leopold Schumm (born July 30, 1878 in Atzgersdorf ; † February 10, 1955 in Vienna ) was an Austrian builder and architect .
Life
After completing the three-year master craftsman's school at the Vienna State Trade School, completing military service and a few years of internship, he went freelance as a builder in 1904. In 1906 he married the daughter of a local politician, with whom he had four children. In 1907 his company was registered with the building trade at Schulgasse 8, Liesing (today Dirmhirngasse); In 1929 he was a co-founder of the building company Gebrüder Leopold and Friedrich Schumm OHG in Krems an der Donau. By 1920 he took over the Liesing People's Army Command . Schumm was also politically active for the German National Movement .
Leopold Schumm mainly realized buildings in the south of Vienna. In 1939 he married again. His son of the same name took over the business.
Schumm was also active as a gymnast for decades, took part in competitions and was Gauturnwart.
