Communities St. Jakob in Defereggen

The Leppetaler Bach is a brook in the municipality of St. Jakob in Defereggen ( Lienz district ). The brook rises on the north side of the Villgraten Mountains and flows east of the village of Raut into the Schwarzach .

The Leppetaler Bach rises northeast of the Leppetallenke between the Kleiner Leppleskofel in the west and the Auf der Rahn in the east. It flows in a northerly direction through alpine terrain and reaches the tree line at around 1900 meters above sea level. As a result, the Leppetaler Bach flows through mountain forests or to the west below the Leppetalalm and enters the Defereggental east of the village of Raut . The confluence is opposite the town of Bruggen on the right into the Schwarzach.
